About Us
Offshore Sportsbooks is an independent research site for US bettors weighing up offshore sportsbooks — books licensed outside the United States that accept players from states without a regulated online betting market. We compare odds, bonuses, banking options and payout track records so you can make a more informed decision, not a rushed one.
We don't operate a sportsbook, take wagers, or hold player funds. Our job is to research publicly available terms, licensing information and banking details for each operator, then lay them out side by side so the differences are easy to see.
Why This Site Exists
Search "offshore sportsbooks" or "sportsbooks that accept US players" and you'll find pages of operator marketing dressed up as reviews. We built imactheater.org to do something different: give bettors a clear-eyed comparison of the offshore market, including the parts operators would rather gloss over — grey-area legal status, rollover requirements buried in bonus terms, and the real risk that an offshore book can delay or refuse a payout.
Our current lineup covers ten offshore sportsbooks, led by Lucky Rebel, Bovada, and BetOnline, alongside others including BetNow, Everygame, BetUS, Sportsbetting, Xbet, MyBookie, and ApuestaHoy. Each is scored on the same criteria, and no operator can pay for a higher position.
What "Offshore" Actually Means for a US Bettor
Every book we cover is licensed outside the US — typically in jurisdictions such as Curaçao, Panama, or Costa Rica — and none of them are regulated, licensed, or approved by any US state gaming authority. That distinction matters. It means:
- There is no state regulator you can escalate a dispute to if a payout is delayed or refused
- Player funds are not required to be held in segregated, state-audited accounts the way they are at licensed US operators
- Your state's consumer protection laws around gambling likely don't reach an operator licensed abroad
- Whether it's legal for you personally to use one of these sites depends on where you live — laws vary by state, and some prohibit offshore wagering outright
We say this plainly on every review because it's the single most important thing a reader needs to understand before comparing bonuses or odds. If you're unsure where your state stands, check your state's current gambling statutes, and speak with a qualified legal professional if you need certainty rather than general information.
How We Score and Rank Offshore Sportsbooks
Rather than take an operator's word for it, we build each review around the same set of factors, weighted toward what actually affects a bettor's experience:
- Bonus terms, not just headline figures — we read the rollover or wagering requirement, minimum odds, and expiry window attached to a welcome offer before it counts toward the score
- Odds and market coverage — pricing on point spreads, moneylines, totals, and player props, plus how deep the futures and live-betting markets run
- Banking options and speed — what a book supports for deposits and withdrawals, including crypto (Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and stablecoins like USDT or USDC), bank cards, and wire transfer, along with any stated fees or processing windows
- Reputation and track record — how consistently an operator has paid out over time, based on publicly available history and reported operator behavior
- Verification and support — how the KYC process works, and how responsive customer support actually is
Commission from affiliate partnerships never buys a better position. If a book's bonus terms are restrictive or its payout history is shaky, that's reflected in the rating regardless of any commercial relationship.
Where Our Revenue Comes From
Offshore Sportsbooks earns money through affiliate partnerships. If you click through to an offshore sportsbook and sign up, we may receive a commission at no extra cost to you. This funds the site, but it does not decide rankings — an operator paying us more does not move them up the list, and we'll say so directly when a bonus offer comes with heavy rollover conditions or other restrictions worth knowing about.
What We Won't Do
We won't tell you betting is a reliable way to make money, present any tip or prediction as a guaranteed outcome, or suggest that offshore books carry the same protections as a state-licensed operator. Betting involves a real risk of losing money, and with an offshore book there's an added layer of risk around whether a payout arrives on time, or at all. We try to be upfront about both.
All content on this site is intended for adults aged 21 and over. We do not target, and this site is not intended for, anyone under the legal betting age in their jurisdiction.
Betting Responsibly
Gambling should stay entertainment, not a financial plan. Offshore sportsbooks often have lighter or less consistent responsible gambling tools than regulated US operators — self-exclusion options and deposit limits, where they exist, vary widely by site. If gambling stops being fun, or you find yourself chasing losses or betting beyond what you can afford, free confidential help is available around the clock through the National Council on Problem Gambling at 1-800-GAMBLER. Our Responsible Gambling page has more on the tools and support options worth knowing about before you deposit anywhere.
